SUMMER CAMPS

1 – Liz is eleven and has never been to summer camp before. She is interested in music and fashion and helped design her school uniform. She loves horses and would like to have the chance of doing some activities which involve horses.


2 – Sarah is 9 and loves dancing and playing the guitar. She did a project on Native American culture at school. She would like to go camping with her whole family: mum, dad and her twin brothers.


3 – Rob is 12 and keeps to himself a lot. He has a pet rabbit called Joe and wants to be an artist. His dad works in another country, so he needs a summer camp experience for two months. He would like to get away from his school uniform for a while.


4 – Molly is a good student at school and plays the piano. She also writes songs and wants to be a singer when she grows up. She desperately wants to go to summer camp, but she has a lot of food allergies, so her parents are a bit worried about her.


5 – Fred is 13 and lives in a big city. He paints beautiful mountain landscapes, and is sports crazy. He would like to spend as much time as possible playing football or basketball.


A – CHELEY CAMPSSurrounded by mountains and forests, Cheley Camps serves boys and girls, starting at age nine. It is particularly good for activities like horseback riding, and you spend some time looking after the horses. These activities help participants develop self-confidence and enjoy the fun challenges.


B – CAMP KILLOOLEET

Camp Killooleet serves boys and girls ages 9-14 years of age. The focus here is on developing sporting excellence. Campers can participate in a wide variety of sports such as basketball and soccer, and they can also try other activities such as studio arts, performing arts and music.


C – CAMP WEEQUAHIC

Camp Weequahic offers a traditional camping experience. In addition to traditional types of camping activities, we have an animal farm where our visitors can spend time with rabbits, goats and sheep.


 

D – RAQUETTE LAKE CAMP

Boys and girls ages 6 – 15 are welcomed at the Raquette Lake Camp. Visitors here enjoy learning new skills. This camp is especially good for budding musicians. They also experience emotional growth and develop new friendships. The diet here is nut-free, and the staff can accommodate anyone who may be allergic to food.

 


E – CAMP PINEHURST

Camp Pinehurst was set up by a local musician, and offers a variety of camping experiences for boys and girls from age 10 to 18. Children enjoy traditional camping activities, learn Native American music and dances, and campers also get guitar lessons. All campers are given a special uniform to wear around camp, which they keep when they leave.


F – ROCKYWOLD DEEPHAVEN CAMPS

This is a unique summer camp which provides a fantastic experience for parents and children to take a vacation and experience camping together. Family members enjoy traditional camping activities such as nature walks, fishing, swimming and boating as well as a variety of age-appropriate recreation activities for children of all ages.


G – FALCON CAMP

This camp offers boys and girls a great camping experience with the option of either 4-week or 8-week camping sessions. There are all kinds of indoor and outdoor activities. The drawing and painting section is very popular, and we have expert tutors to help you improve.


H – CAMP TOWANDA

Campers as young as six years old enjoy the beauty and natural surroundings of Camp Towanda. Camp is for all levels of camping experience and interests. In addition to traditional camping activities, campers have the opportunity to visit some local music shows.
