Rock Climbing

A – Oscar

I live in a big city, so the range of activities I can do is quite limited. Last year, I did rock climbing for the first time. At first, I was terrified, but when I fell and saw that my harness protected me completely, I felt a lot more confident. Now that I’m back at home, I got dad to find a climbing wall close to where we live.

B – Raymond

My big brother used to go off climbing every weekend. I felt really lonely when he was gone, so I asked him if I could come along. He looked at me and decided to give me a chance. Once we got to the wall, it became obvious that I was a natural. I love being part of the group, and what’s great is that nobody treats me like a kid.

C – Jane

One day, Dad decided to take me to a climbing wall near my house. When we got there, the rope from the hook at the top of the wall was missing. Dad could see I was disappointed, so he climbed the wall without a harness, attached the rope to the hook at the top and came down. I couldn’t believe what I had seen. Anyway, I got my harness on, and I was off. I had a great day climbing thanks to my crazy dad.
